I choose to put 3/3 into Perseverance for reduced magic damage taken. Solar Beam certainly isn't necessary for current content but neither is Fungal Growth. Lunar Shower has been lackluster since they changed its mechanism. Since Solar Beam can be useful for 5 mans or random things it stays in the spec. I've seen druids skipping it and putting 1 point in Moonglow but we don't need the mana.
The final point goes into Blessing of the Grove since it affects dps, albeit slightly.
My prime's are standard. Starsurge might win out over wrath in 4pct13 in some fights. Innervate is great for fights like Yor'sahj where I can innervate a healer and get some mana back myself. Time an eclipse properly and there is no downtime for mana voids thanks to Euphoria. I switch out Focus for Innervate on Ultraxion where I can be sure I'll be within 20 yards of the boss. Rebirth is a staple glyph for safe combat resurrections.
Please describe your rotation/priority list in detail. Tanks: What is your rotation for maximum threat? When do you consider using your cool downs? Healers: What abilities do you use when you're tank healing? Raid healing? When do you use your cool downs?
Apply dots during eclipse, use appropriate nuke to move towards opposing eclipse. Use starsurge on cool down during an eclipse. With 4pct12 I only use it outside of eclipse if moving towards solar and it will reduce the amount of starfires needed to reach it.
Dot refreshing really depends on the fight. On a straightforward single target encounter, I will only refresh in eclipses. If they happen to expire near or before the beginning of solar I will likely refresh a second time in solar (while leaving and while nature's grace is still active). This happens once in a while but generally my haste is sufficient to just refresh once per eclipse.
I use starfall on cd generally. If I'm close to lunar (15 seconds~) I'll wait but on a single target fight it doesn't line up every time it's up and it's typically best to use on cd. For a multi-target fight it might be best to wait for an add/cleave phase.
Treants are used on cd and ideally before heroism so they gain its benefit.
Wild Mushrooms can be planted pre pull and detonated in solar. Similarly they can be place while moving supposing dots don't need refreshing or other relevant instants aren't available.
I know this might seem like a mess but it's hard to define a fixed priority as balance. There are a lot of things that might change the rotation and priority (number of adds, etc.).
What are your primary professions? Are they maxed? Why did you choose these professions?
Tailoring and Alchemy.
Tailoring is the highest dps profession for casters before complete epic gemming.
Alchemy is convenient due to increased flask duration. It is also on par with crafting professions as a raiding bonus.
Since they didn't re-balance the professions I may swap Alchemy for Blacksmithing later on as it will win out once fully epic gemmed.
Do you have Ventrilo?
How did you hear about us? Do you have any references within the guild?
I saw your recruitment post on the Blizzard forums. I do not have any references with your guild.
What were your previous guilds and why did you leave? (Be specific):
Indestructible (10 man group) is my current guild. The people in my group are generally nice, but the guild environment is rather volatile. Racism and misogyny are common in guild chat and it just gets old seeing that all the time. I would like to find a guild that is perhaps a bit less immature that I can be pushed to improve in.
Greater was a guild I started along with a friend. Ultimately I realized that he wanted to raid more casually while I wanted to be in a guild focused on progression. I left control of the guild to him and went on to Indestructible.
Before this I was in a few different guilds that were casual and don't really exist anymore as raiding entities.
What is your current and previous raid experience? Please include prior characters, and be specific (ex. 15/15 Naxx, Sarth +3, ICC25 11/12 HM):
ICC 10 11/12 HM
11/12 N T11
7/7 H T12
1/8 H T13
I have some assorted raid experience before this on a Prot Warrior, Holy Paladin, and Elemental Shaman but nothing of note progression wise. Starting on these classes did give me a strong empathy for the strengths and difficulties of different roles.
How did/do you learn about your class mechanics? Do you remain updated on changes?
I learn my class mechanics by actively following sites such as Elitistjerks.com, mmo-champion.com, themoonkinrepository.com. I check these sites multiple times every week to see tips from other raiding balance druids. Sometimes other people think of things you might not consider and it's great to always have new information to work with.
Please post a picture of your User Interface using the following website, www.imgur.com with all relevant keybindings shown. If your UI does not convey all of your important keybindings, elaborate Please list your major mods (DBM, Big Wigs, etc).
Typically my keybinds are hidden but I have shown them here. There are some additional abilities without cooldowns (Soothe, Cyclone, etc.) that I have on hidden bars.
All of my keybinds are within easy reach of my left hand or my extra mouse buttons. I use modifiers to increase the number of keybinds I have in a small area.
Vuhdo for raid frames
Power Auras for Dots and Buff monitoring
Lui is an add-on package that I am quite fond of and accounts for the cosmetic aspect of my ui.
What is your availability? Are you able to make all raid days and times? (Mon-Thurs, 7:30p-11:30p CST)
I am available for all raid times. Availability otherwise is somewhat limited by other activities but I'm usually online on and off between 4pm CST and 1 AM CST. More on weekends potentially.
How old are you? Do you consider yourself mature?
I am 22 years old. I do consider myself mature.
Tell us about yourself (job, school, lifestyle, etc):
I am currently attending school part time and also have a part time job. I am also an active runner.
What do you expect from us?
I expect a competent raid environment where strong effort is given by the entire raid.
Why do we want you?
You are looking for a competent dps to continue your guild's success in this patch and beyond. I would like to fill that role. I am an extraordinarily quick learner and will grasp on to not only my responsibilities, but those of the raid as a whole. When I make a mistake, I make sure it doesn't happen again.
I am open to criticism that will better me as a player.
I do not have a legendary staff. I wasn't raiding in the beginning of T12 and therefore was not a priority when I started again. I hope you will find that despite this my dps is competitive.
Thank you for your consideration and I wish you the best of luck this tier!
